prevention of entry into circulation and timely withdrawal from circulation of low-quality, falsified medicines and medicines with expired shelf life;
prevention, detection and suppression of violations of the requirements of the legislation on the circulation of medicines;
pursuing the public policy on pharmaceutics, overseeing legal entities’ and individual entrepreneurs’ compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus on the sale of medicinal products, including narcotics and psychotropic substances,
organization and conduct of pharmaceutical inspections for compliance with the requirements of good pharmaceutical practices (GxP);
determining the key areas for the development and improvement of the state control over the sale of medicinal products and trafficking of narcotics, psychotropic substances and their precursors in Belarus, standardizing and supervising the quality of medicinal products,
licensing of pharmaceutical activities and activities related to the trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances
developing draft regulations and guidelines on the sale of medicinal products;
working towards joining the PIC/S, WHO.
