Pre-university training

Organization way of pre-university training departments, including medical universities, is specified by the Regulation on the pre-university training department, preparatory department, preparatory training courses approved the Order of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated 21.07. 2011 under № 980.

Pre-university training departments, preparatory departments, preparatory training courses  are working in all medical universities of the Republic of Belarus.

Educational programs aimed at studying the academic subjects required for enrolment to the medical universities are being studied at the pre-university training departments, preparatory departments and preparatory training courses of the medical universities.

Persons with general secondary education, vocational education or secondary special education are allowed to be enrolled to the pre-university training departments, preparatory departments and preparatory training courses of the medical universities.
 
Following persons can be enrolled to the pre-university training departments, preparatory departments, and preparatory training courses of the medical universities:

- residents of the Republic of Belarus;
- foreign residents and persons without citizenship, who permanently reside in the Republic of Belarus;
- foreign residents and persons without citizenship, who were granted a refugee status in the Republic of Belarus;
- persons of the Belarusian nationality being citizens of foreign states or persons without citizenship permanently residing in the foreign states;
- Russian Federation citizens, Republic of Kazakhstan citizens, Kyrgyz Republic citizens, Republic of Tajikistan citizens.

Persons entering the pre-university training departments, preparatory departments, preparatory training courses of the medical universities, shall submit the following documents to the enrolment board:

- application for admission for training presented in the prescribed form;
- original academic credentials and corresponding attachments;
- original certificates of centralized testing conducted in the Republic of Belarus in the enrolment year;
- certificate of results of entrance tests (for persons who passed the entrance tests in educational institutions and failed on a competitive basis in the enrolment year);
- medical certificate of health condition in a form prescribed by the Ministry of Health. The medical certificate of health condition shall be issued by the state healthcare institution at place of residence or on the job location;
- documents evidencing trainee's entitlement to benefits;
- 6 photographs (3 x 4 cm);
- personal identification document.

Orphaned children and children left without parental care, as well as persons belonging to  orphaned children and children left without parental care shall be enrolled out of competition.

Following persons have a preferences for enrolment with the same amount of points:

- disabled children under the age of eighteen years, invalids of I or II groups, except for persons who have disabilities that occurred as a result of illegal actions because of alcohol, narcotic, toxic intoxication, and self-harm;
- persons who are family members of individuals referred to in subparagraphs 3.2, 3.4 and 3.7 of item 3, item 10 and sub-item 12.2 and 12.3 of item 12 of Article 3 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated 14.06.2007 "On state social benefits, rights and guarantees for separate categories of citizens ";
- Persons listed in the item 7 of Article 18 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated 06.01.2009  "About social protection of the citizens, injured because of the Chernobyl NPP catastrophe, and other radiation accidents";
- invalids of III group, except for persons who have disabilities that occurred as a result of illegal actions because of alcohol, narcotic, toxic intoxication, and self-harm;
- Persons listed in the items 1 of Articles13, 21 - 23 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus " About social protection of the citizens, injured because of the Chernobyl NPP catastrophe, and other radiation accidents";
- persons from families with three or more minor children.

Trainees shall be enrolled to the pre-university training department, preparatory department, preparatory training courses on paid basis according to the agreement in accordance with the established procedure of the contract on paid services in the education field.
