The sectoral cooperation is carried out between the Ministry of Health and the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) member states within the framework of the Health Council under the EurAsEC Integration Committee. It was founded in December 2005.
The Minister of Health and the Deputy Minister - Chief State Sanitarian of the Republic of Belarus, represent the Republic of Belarus in the Health Council under the EurAsEC Integration Committee.
The regular XIV Meeting of the Health Council was held on July 1-2, 2013 in Khujand (Tajikistan).
Members of the Health Council from the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Tajikistan, representatives of the Russian Federation, the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as of the Secretariat of the EurAsEC Integration Committee participated in this Meeting.
A draft Agreement on multifactor prevention of noncommunicable diseases and traumatism within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Community and a draft Protocol on technical amendments to the Agreement on Cooperation of member states of the Eurasian Economic Community in the field of the turnover of medicines (medical products), medical supplies and medical equipment (medical devices) of September 28, 2012 were endorsed and recommended for consideration by the bodies of the Eurasian Economic Community. It was also decided to hold the XV Meeting of the Council in the second half of 2013 in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
