Sub-residency, as a form of individual profiling of higher medical education, is introduced in accordance with the higher education standards and standard Curricula for the 6th year in the specialties 1-79 01 01 "General Medicine", 1-79 01 02 "Pediatrics", 1-79 01 03 "Therapeutic and Preventive Medicine" and for the 5th year in the specialty 1-79 01 04 "Therapy and Diagnosis".

List of Sub-residency Profiles

According to sub-residency profiles formation of training groups is carried out on the basis of the needs in the relevant specialties and qualifications personnel of the healthcare institutions of the Republic of Belarus.

The number of vacancies in sub- residency profiles is annually approved by the Decree of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus by June 1.

Assignment of applicants into study groups according to sub-residency profiles is carried out by medical university commissions annually until June 20 on the basis of an application addressed to the Rector indicating the chosen sub-residency profile, form of study, place of registration, as well as participation in research work, medical care and social activities.

Sub-residency profile is taken into account when assigning a graduate to the place of employment and sending him to an internship in the relevant specialty.
